Job Description :

At our company, the Communication Specialist is a key member of a specialized team focused on implementing the communication strategy, supporting Marketing & People teams with external and internal efforts, as well as intercompany initiatives aligned to branding, communications, employee engagement and company culture.




PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES




External Communications



  • Provide support handling media enquiries and respond to external communication-related issues in a timely manner.

  • Develop news media materials such as: press releases, press kits, messages, presentations, among others.

  • Create communication for new products, launches and events. 

  • Prepare detailed media activity reports.

  • Proactively identify issues that need to be addressed and work with the Corporate Communications Director to develop communications strategy.


Internal Communications



  • Implement the internal communications strategy for all stakeholders ensuring consistency in content and channels, maintaining on each of them its internal brand essence.

  • Act as first point of contact on internal communications, providing advice and support to staff on internal communications messaging and best practices.

  • Work closely with the People team members to deliver internal communications activities that encourage and support employee engagement.

  • Lead the volunteerism programs with the company and its companies to support to Corporate Social Responsibility strategy.

  • Manage and develop the internal communications platforms, including sourcing, creating, and repurposing content to continually refresh and drive increased engagement with the platform.

  • Proactively identify issues that need to be addressed and work with the Corporate Communications Director to develop communications strategy.


Required Qualifications :

QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications

  • Over 5 years of experience in related field

  • Licensed public relations practitioner is a plus

  • Fully bilingual (English/Spanish)

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work proactively, prioritize and manage individual workload.

  • Vast knowledge of digital and intranet technology used for internal communications.
