Job Description :
The Junior Buyer assists in the procurement process by researching suppliers, obtaining quotes, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. They work closely with the Procurement Manager or Senior Buyer to help maintain an efficient and cost-effective supply chain.

  • Identify potential suppliers through market research and industry contacts.

  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, reliability, and product quality.

  • Maintain a supplier database with up-to-date information.

  • Prepare RFQs and purchase orders based on specific requirements.

  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers.

  • Ensure accuracy of orders and compliance with company policies.

  • Analyze cost structures and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to achieve the best possible deals.

  • Monitor market trends to stay informed about price fluctuations.

  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.

  • Resolve supplier-related issues or disputes promptly.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve product quality and delivery times.

  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts.

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely replenishment of inventory.

  • Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste and overstock.

  • The incumbent of this position must possess a Bachelors' degree or equivalent; or three (3) to five (5) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
