Job Description :
Enforces and monitors the compliance of established food safety and quality procedures to comply with regulatory, customer, and internal requirements. This position is to ensure food is received, stored, handled, and shipped following established standards. The Quality Assurance Coordinator is also responsible for performing sanitation and maintenance internal audits to make sure food is prepared in a clean and well maintained facility.
Required Qualifications :

-Develops, updates, and implements the programs, procedures, and actions necessary to effectively monitor and maintain compliance with food safety and quality specifications of multiple major products and other assigned minor products.




-Oversees the scheduling and execution of audits of food processors to ensure attainment of the departmental plan of action and compliance with company specifications and standards concerning food safety, quality, sanitation, production, and animal welfare. Ensures completion of annual third party audits of assigned product suppliers.




-Responsible for cross-functional communication and assistance: Assists other departments with new / improved product development, second sourcing, and quality issues with assigned menu items.




-Coordinates and oversees laboratory testing and data management of assigned food products at extemal laboratories and suppliers to ensure the sampling / testing frequency and compliance standards outlined in the departmental plan of action are met, Manages specifications and lab evaluation procedures for assigned products.




-Develops solutions and provides recommendations to suppliers and Operations Management for corrective actions for deficiencies and/or areas of non-compliance related to assigned menu items.




-Provides Operations and Purchasing management with status regarding the continued use of suppliers and distributors based upon their ability to consistently maintain the company specifications and standards.




-Makes recommendations to Purchasing and Operations management on the approval of new and second source suppliers.  




-Assist to provide food safety training to front line employees.

















-Must have an intermediate level of English to read and write rules, instructions, procedure manuals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Must be presented orally and answer questions from groups of managers, employees, clients and the general public.
















-Must have a level of application of intermediate mathematical concepts that will enable him to calculate figures and quantities such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, by hundreds, area, circumference, and volume. In addition, the incumbent should have knowledge of statistical analysis.
