Business Intelligence Analyst
Summary
Responsible for analyzing complex data sets, creating insightful reports, and providing actionable recommendations to drive business decisions.
This role requires a combination of financial acumen, data analysis skills, and effective communication to collaborate with internal teams and external clients.
Essential Functions:
Market Research:
- Conduct market surveys and research to understand industry trends and the competitive landscape.
- Gather data on industry targets, competitors, and market conditions using various methods such as surveys, interviews, and data analysis tools.
Data Management:
- Organize, and manage industry data from various sources (Industry journals/Salesforce/.
- Work with RSM’s and Top Accounts to align forecasting models (CCC/Customer)
- Collaborate with Demand Planning to develop predictive forecasting model for sales and operations
Data Analysis:
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights of emerging opportunities by industry.
- Identify customers forecast variances and trends to adjust accordingly with sales and operations
Reporting:
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports by industry to proactively identify potential opportunities.
- Develop monthly demand planning highlights
- Create monthly/annual trends report to support account development, planning and management
Collaboration:
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide insights (Sales/Marketing/Demand Planning/operations).
Documentation:
- Develop and maintain documentation for BI processes and solutions.
- Coordinate activities with and in support of Regional Sales Managers
- Create and maintain positive and productive relationships with both external and internal customers.

Competencies
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
- Experience developing primary and secondary market research
- Ability to interpret large quantities of data and communicate findings effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, Tableau, or other data analysis tools.
- Attention to detail, flexibility, and problem-solving skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Time management and analysis skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to present findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to perform frequent calculations for copper price adjustments, metric conversions, advanced mathematical skills.
Supervisory Responsibility
· This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
10-15% travel is expected for this position.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
