Job Description :
The Collection Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring timely and efficient collection of outstanding debts owed to the company. They work closely with the Collections team to contact clients, manage payment arrangements, and maintain accurate records of financial transactions. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.




  1. Contact clients via phone, email, and mail to follow up on outstanding debts.

  2. Negotiate payment plans and terms with clients in accordance with company policies.

  3. Update and maintain accurate records of all collection activities and communications with clients.

  4. Identify and resolve discrepancies in payments and billing issues.

  5. Provide timely and accurate reporting on collection activities and progress to the Collections team.

  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as Accounts Receivable and Customer Service, to address client inquiries and resolve issues.

  7. Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and adherence to payment agreements.

  8. Assist in the preparation of reports and analysis related to collection performance.

  9. Stay up-to-date with company policies and procedures related to collections and compliance.

  10. Assist in special projects and initiatives to improve collection processes and efficiency.

Required Qualifications :


  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 1-2 years of experience in collections or related field.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with collection software is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of collection laws and regulations is beneficial.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
