Materials Manager
In this role, you will be in charge of leads supply planning, drive initiatives to improve customer on time delivery and lead-time, to be accountable for inventory and responsible for reporting resource utilization. You will have to Implement effective sourcing strategies in line with the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing process and business strategy, ensuring that suppliers can meet current and future business requirements, as well as ensuring that all relevant parties grasp strategies and execute processes accordingly. This is a key and strategic position for the Arecibo operations.
· Owner of the site supply planning process. Provides visibility of supply capacity. Provides ability to support the demand plan.
· Owns the inventory target. Drives inventory optimization projects within the Arecibo site.
· Run planning process and connecting planning with execution. Coordinate an appropriate response to unplanned events. Support the profitable execution of customer orders, in coordination with Engineering and Manufacturing.
· Leads initiatives for optimizing customer on time delivery, lead-time, inventory value, resource utilization and forecast accuracy.
· Leads local planning function and ensure the Arecibo planning team is properly organized, staffed, and skilled and directed.
· Ensures that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.
· Drive improvements in cost, delivery, payments, lead-times, minimum order quantities and vendor management systems.
· Leads the material availability for site in order to meet the monthly revenues as well as the requirement of our customers.
· Tracks goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure on time invoice processing.
Defining and establishing local standard agreements with all major suppliers, while providing and maintaining standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with company directives and guidelines.
· Knowledge of ERP system.
· A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
Communication skills at Spanish and English is required.
