Job Description :

The Technical & Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems including access control, CCTV, alarm systems, and other integrated security solutions. The role ensures efficient and effective field operations, supervises a team of technicians, and ensures all security projects meet client expectations and are completed in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.




Responsibilities:


Team Supervision:



  • Directly Supervise a team of field technicians and installers specializing in security system installations, ensuring quality performance and timely service.

  • Responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching, and technical guidance to field personnel on installation and troubleshooting of integrated security systems.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and offer constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement.


Field Supervision:



  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of security systems such as CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and related hardware and software.

  • Monitor ongoing field projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with project specifications.

  • Coordinate site assessments, equipment deliveries, and technical troubleshooting in the field.

  • Ensure all work complies with security and safety standards, regulations, and best practices.


Technical Expertise & Problem-Solving**:



  • Provide advanced technical support to field technicians, assisting in resolving complex issues related to the installation, configuration, and operation of security systems.

  • Act as an escalation point for technical problems and ensure timely resolution of critical issues.

  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to resolve technical problems with equipment or software.

  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in security technology, including new software and hardware updates.

  • Handle any customer concerns or complaints regarding fieldwork, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.

  • Conduct on-site visits to ensure client satisfaction with completed work and provide system demonstrations as needed.

  • Insures timely completion of all orders for installation/service and/or proper notification of delays.

  • Coordinates department responses to customer and department issues with a strong sense of urgency.

  • Oversee inventory control, ensuring that field technicians have the necessary tools, parts, and equipment to complete their tasks.

  • Ensure proper care, maintenance, and calibration of technical equipment used in security system installations.




Required Qualifications :


  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in BS in Computer Programming and/in Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in security system installation, maintenance, and supervision, with a focus on integrated systems.

  • Proven track record of managing field teams in the security integration industry.

  • Hands-on experience with access control systems, video surveillance (CCTV), intrusion alarms, and related security technologies.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting expertise.

  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

  • Proficient in using field management software, Microsoft Office, and security system-specific software.

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Regular travel to client sites is required.

  • Ability to work in various environments, including construction sites, commercial buildings, and outdoor locations.

  • May require working outside regular hours, including nights or weekends, to meet project deadlines or handle emergencies.

  • Available to assist in natural disasters such as hurricanes on 24/7 schedules, if needed.
